Successful research and commercialization partnerships depend on more than a great idea. They also depend on the agreements that define how everyone works together. This course gives you a practical overview of the agreements you will meet in research and development, industry collaboration and technology commercialization: why they matter, which ones fit each stage, and the key terms to recognize before you sign. The goal is not to turn you into a lawyer, it is to help you recognize when an agreement is needed, understand its purpose, ask better questions and talk with legal counsel.
